Pickers Anonymous is an old timey duo consisting of Chattanooga folkies John Benjamin Davis (Mandolin, Banjo, Guitar, Fiddle, Vocals) and Nicholas Edward Williams (Guitar, Banjo, Harmonica, Vocals), though quite often, other picker friends are invited to join them, hence the band name. They collect old traditional material and present it with their own eclectic filter, harkening back to the days of pioneering duos such as The Monroe Brothers, The Delmore Brothers, and the Everly Brothers with high, lonesome harmonies, multiple instruments handed off between them, and intricate melodic interplay. Pickers Anonymous harbors a wide variety of material including Old-Time, Traditional and Contemporary Folk, Bluegrass, Hillbilly, and an assortment of pre-war Blues. Their debut record, Patchwork, is slated to release in late 2025.
