Understanding a chilled water system as a system – recognizing the characteristics of different system configurations and components - and the interaction of the components - is necessary for an effective and efficient operating system. Efficient equipment does not necessarily result in an effective and efficient chilled water system.
This four hour seminar covers chilled water systems as a system - starting with a historical overview and identifying different design configurations. It then covers the characteristics of production, distribution, pumping and load coils and their interactions. It concludes with the opportunities and objectives of chilled water system optimization.
Below is an outline of what will be covered:
Chilled Water Systems Historical Review and System Basics
Production Characteristics, Pitfalls and Solutions
Distribution Characteristics, Pitfalls and Solutions
Pumping Systems and Energy Consumption
Water to Air Characteristics, Pitfalls and Solutions
System Optimization
The instructor will be David Pleasants, former Vice President of the JMP Equipment Company. A certificate of attendance for four (4) Professional Development Hours will be provided.
Tickets are not required to attend this event.
