Blessings, everyone! We would like to invite you to participate in the first Drum Circle Workshop, at the Mystic Nook!
This workshop is designed for participants at various skill levels, so if you're just a beginner, don't worry! We have a method of learning that will get your feet wet (and tapping 😉 ).
For the seasoned drummers, feel free to bring your drum and share what you do in your own community and if the energy allows, we can simply, "jam out!" 😃
The main instrument of focus, is the djembe drum, which is from West Africa and literally translates to "gather peace."
This drum is typically a staple in most circles. But, what makes it a favorite, is the deep, bass, resonance, when struck in the center, to having a higher pitched, "poppy" like sound, when struck on the outer edge and that gives you a nice range to work with.
Also, know that frame drums and other percussive instruments are highly encouraged to join in, so let's gather and raise some peaceful energy!!
