The Phantom of the Opera: Silent Film with Live Score

Celebrate the 100th anniversary of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA with a rare chance to see the haunting classic on the big screen Halloween Weekend! Featuring a live score on the organ by silent film accompanist Jeff Rapsis.

Lon Chaney stars as the disfigured composer who rises from the Paris catacombs to haunt the city's famous Opera House. He leaves a path of murder and mayhem in his love-mad pursuit to make his favorite young opera singer a star. Co-directed by Chaney and produced by Carl Laemmle, co-founder and then owner of Universal Pictures, the film literally features a cast of thousands — 5,000 to be exact.

Rapsis is a New Hampshire-based composer and organist who has specialized in creating live musical scores for silent film screenings for the past twenty years.
