KEN HEWITT - - Public Speaker, Leader, Change Navigator
Ken Hewitt was born the same year the Toronto Maple Leafs last won the Stanley Cup - 1967. That’s right, he’s been chasing the dream alongside the Leafs for 57 years. But while the Leafs have stalled, Ken has been racking up wins.
With a degree in Economics from the University of Ottawa, Ken worked within the financial services industry for over 30 years. He recently sold his successful financial planning business, where he provided business and financial planning advice for both businesses and families. Ken’s true calling has always been about leadership and resilience.
Ken is a dedicated community leader and public servant who served three terms as the Mayor of Haldimand County. As Mayor, he advocated for local residents and businesses during challenging times.
Though he did not clinch a win in the 2022 provincial election, he did not slow down. In 2023, Ken was appointed as a member of the Ontario Land Tribunal, making tough calls on everything from minor variances to major zoning amendments. In 2025, Ken is back in the ring as a candidate in the federal election.
Ken speaks with humor and insight about embracing change and navigating the inevitable turbulence it brings. Whether it's government, business, or community challenges, Ken’s knack for turning adversity into progress is his hallmark. And yes, he’s picked up the Queen’s Jubilee Medal along the way.
