Artists and art lovers, listen up! ARTspace is thrilled to announce a live artist event happening soon! Join us on King St W on Saturday, September 20 for Crowfest and showcase your creativity and the opportunity to win one of eight $250 cash prizes, to be awarded based on popular vote. Winning pieces will be displayed in the ARTspace window from September 24 - October 14, 2025.
We'll designate spots downtown where you bring and set up your own outdoor studio and unleash your artistic vision! Any medium goes! Please note, we are not able to accommodate permanent art or installation and artists must have the ability to transport their piece at the end of the event. All artworks must be original, initiated on a blank canvas or surface, and completed within the designated three-hour timeframe. A coloured ground may be applied to the surface prior to the event. A limited number of easels are available to borrow on a first-come/first-served basis. Due to the street closures for Crowfest, artists are encouraged to deliver their supplies to ARTspace on Friday, September 19 between 12 pm - 5 pm or contact ARTspace staff to make alternate arrangements.
Participation is FREE.
Artist Check-in: 2:00 pm at ARTspace
Artist Set-up: 3:00 pm
Winners Announced: 6:00 pm at ARTspace
