We are thrilled to invite you to a heartwarming and fun-filled event: the DIM Art House ADOPT! Group Art Show and APL Junior Volunteer Ice Cream Social Fundraiser on Saturday, July 12th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Scoop Du Jour, 95 Plummer Blvd., Chatham, IL 62629.
This special event blends art, compassion, and community to support APL’s mission of rescuing and caring for animals in need. Here’s what you can look forward to:
Inside the DIM Art House Gallery Show:
Local artists have drawn inspiration from APL’s adoptable animals to create stunning pieces in various mediums. Their art will be available for purchase directly from the artists at the gallery sale inside Scoop Du Jour. A portion of the proceeds will benefit APL and help us continue our lifesaving work.

Outside at the APL JV Ice Cream Social:
- Meet Adoptable Animals: The APL Mobile Adoption Unit will be onsite with adorable cats and dogs ready to find their forever homes. Volunteers will be available to assist with the adoption process.
- Paw Paintings: For just a $5 donation, let your pet create their very own masterpiece with the help of our Junior Volunteers.
- Shop and Explore: Browse APL’s new apparel, merchandise, and unique offerings from local vendors.
- Support Through Scoops: Scoop Du Jour has generously pledged to donate 15% of all sales throughout the day to APL!
Admission is free, so bring your friends, family, and pets for a day filled with creativity, sweet treats, and opportunities to support APL and the animals we serve.
About the Junior Volunteer Program
APL’s Junior Volunteer program engages young animal lovers (ages 12–15) in hands-on activities at the shelter. Participants care for animals, learn about humane issues, and assist with events like this fundraiser. It’s a rewarding experience that fosters compassion and understanding for animals in need amongst our JV’s.
