Join us for the UVA PIPELINES & PATHWAYS SKILL BUILDING 101 WORKSHOP SERIES. Through these in-person workshops, you will receive industry certificates that will make you more competitive in the job market. All of the workshops are FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. You may attend more than one workshop, but REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Please be sure to attend the classes you register for, as seating is limited.

HEALTHCARE CLEANING, DECONTAMINATION, AND WASTE MANAGEMENT

This course explains waste management as a critical aspect of safeguarding health and safety in healthcare settings. It starts with fundamental concepts, moving on to codes, schedules, and equipment to maintain a sanitized workplace. The course also covers decontamination and disinfection processes, as well as hygiene and PPE basics for the healthcare industry.

Finish the course and pass a short test with a score of 80% or more to earn your certification. Show your employer you're trained and ready to work!
