About Cameron:
For thirty years Cameron has dedicated his life to bringing innovative sustainable architectural solutions to humanitarian crises around the world. He has led teams that have built homes, schools, and health centers for more than 2.75M people in over forty countries. He has received several recognitions including the TED prize, the National Design Award, and most recently as Life Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts.
Last month he announced his departure from the architectural industry to focus on sports for social change, through his venture Football for Life. Cameron serves as GM for the organization that designs sports facilities in areas of crisis and conflict. For the past two years, he partnered with Ukrainian organizations and amputee athletes to co-design and implement multiple football pitches and rehabilitation centers. In the United States, the organization has been developing Guns to Goals, an initiative to dismantle and smelt down decommissioned weapons and give them a new purpose as tournament grade goals.
Previously he was the interim CEO of Armory of Harmony, which partnered with law enforcement to turn unwanted guns into musical instruments. Additionally, Cameron ran Worldchanging Institute, a research and design organization that created building solutions in humanitarian crises. It was recognized for work on designing and building rapidly deployable schools for Syrian refugees. Before this, he led social innovation at Airbnb and developed their philanthropic vision, including building a housing system for refugees and victims of natural disasters.
With his wife Bethany, he runs Half Kingdom Gin and is releasing the worlds’ spiciest sipping gin in 2026. Their newborn daughter currently serves as Chief Giggle Officer.
