Dear Jefferson School Foundation Friends,
Did you know that every two seconds, someone in the United States needs a blood transfusion? And did you know that sickle cell anemia, a painful and often life-threatening disease, affects 1 out of every 365 African American births? These are more than just statistics—they are a call to action.
That's why the Jefferson School Foundation, along with our incredible community partners, is hosting Sickle Celebration on Friday, September 20th, 2025. This event is dedicated to raising awareness about sickle cell disease and ensuring that life-saving blood is available when it's needed most—especially for individuals living with sickle cell, who often require regular transfusions.
This is where you come in.
We are asking you to roll up your sleeve and give the gift of life. Your donation could help a child in crisis, a parent in treatment, or a neighbor in need. One pint of blood can save up to three lives.
As a thank you, each donor will receive:
A $20 gift card
An exclusive Sickle Celebration t-shirt
And most importantly—the profound reward of knowing you've helped save a life.
WE NEED YOU. WE NEED YOUR BLOOD.
Help us make Sickle Celebration more than just an event—let's make it a movement of compassion, community, and change
