This show is a part of the Rivanna Roots Concert Series, presented by The Front Porch and Rivanna River Company. Doors open at 5 pm and music is from 6-9 pm. Bluegrass Destroyers
The Bluegrass Destroyers are a Charlottesville based string band that play a varied and vast repertoire of traditional bluegrass, new grass, originals and covers. The band consists of: Andy Thacker (Love Canon-Mandolin), Gabe Robey(Guitar), Richard Will( Fiddle), Darrell Muller (Love Canon, The 77’s – Bass), Adam Larrabee (Love Canon- Banjo), and Jay Starling (Love Canon, Leftover Salmon- Dobro).
Mackenzie Roark
Mackenzie Roark is a Richmond, Virginia-based singer-songwriter whose music blends the soulful roots of classic country, the introspective storytelling of '70s folk, and the raw energy of rock and roll. With a voice that captures both vulnerability and strength, Mackenzie’s lyrics delve into life’s highs and lows, inviting listeners to reflect on the human experience. At the heart of her sound is a dynamic mix of powerful vocals, intimate storytelling, and a stage presence that draws audiences in. Whether performing with her band, The Hotpants, or as a solo act, Mackenzie’s music resonates with authenticity, offering a mix of upbeat, feel-good tracks and deeply moving ballads.
