Green Hill Pond Guided Paddle Tour

Join representatives from SPC, the Town of Charlestown, the Tomaquag Museum, University of Rhode Island, and Save the Bay as we explore Green Hill Pond. This approximately 2 hour paddle will be led by Lorén Spears, Narragansett tribal citizen and Executive Director of Tomaquag Museum. She’s an author, artist, and curator. She has received numerous awards and was recently inducted into the RI Heritage Hall of Fame. She will share stories, memories, and Traditional Ecological Knowledge of Charlestown's Coastal Salt Ponds.

This educational program supports efforts to reduce nutrient pollution in the Greater Allen's Cove and Eastern Ninigret Pond Pilot Watershed through community engagement.

Program is free. Bring your own equipment, including kayak/canoe/paddle board, paddles, and life jacket (required to be worn). RSVPs required: https://saltpondscoalition.org/calendar/
