Just Groove presented by Virgil Kaine's Small Stage Series

Rob Corbett’s project Just Groove is anything but ordinary—a one-man-band spectacle jam-packed with soul, charisma, and high-voltage fun.

Solo, yet sounds massive: With jaw-dropping skill, Corbett layers loops of double-neck bass, guitar, and drum beats in real time, then tosses in keyboards, vocals, and sometimes rap for good measure—crafting the sound of a full band, all by himself.

He’s hit major stages and shared the spotlight with legends like Sir Mix-a-Lot, The Meters’ George Porter Jr., Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, and The Kudzu Kings.

A proud winner of Charleston SC’s PBR Battle of the Bands, Corbett now rocks nearly 200 shows a year, bringing high-energy performances to bars, weddings, festivals, and just about any party that needs uplifting.
