Defend Democracy!

Join us to “Defend What You Love and Stand Up for Democracy” — We love voting rights, immigrants, due process, federal land protections, our environment, education, the people and more! We say “no!” to militarized police, disinformation, military occupation in our cities, kidnapping people, and more! Bring your signs, meet in the East Pavilion for a short meeting at noon, and then line up along the north side of the sidewalk on Lincoln. We will have some sign making materials available in the pavilion before the meeting for anyone who needs to make one. Remember that Indivisible events are peaceful, nonviolent, and law abiding. Help us make our voices heard — we, the people, are standing up and defending what we love about our democracy!

We will be collecting canned goods for the local food pantry and monetary donations for their capital campaign to help them help others in our community. Monetary donations are matched with $1 for every $2, a good philanthropic bang for your buck! Tax deductible checks should be made out to the Charleston Food Pantry.
