Course Description:
This course is open to all Massage Therapists & Massage Therapy students.
Advanced Deep Tissue Massage doesn’t need to be painful or damaging for the client or therapist. Learn guidelines for safe & effective clinical deep tissue massage, 7 different types of strokes for fascia release, trigger points, postural assessment skills, stretching, proper body mechanics & techniques to avoid injury.
Specific techniques for the neck, TMJ, pecs, shoulders, rotator cuff, arms, low back, hips, and knees will be presented & practiced. All techniques are presented & practiced in ways that have the least physical impact on the therapist’s hands and body while still working into the deeper layers of the client’s tissues for maximum benefit & pain relief.
*Must have a minimum of 4 students to have the class.
