The South Slough Reserve is teaming up with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) for an educational, family-friendly clamming workshop. Knowledgeable instructors will identify a variety of edible species, proper digging techniques, and how to prepare and cook clams. Pre-registration is required and everyone age 12 and older will need to purchase an Oregon shellfish license in advance of the class. Old clothes and boots are a must! Meet in the parking lot by the ODFW office in Charleston towards the end of Boat Basin Road.
[Max. – 25] FREE Pre-registration required. Programs may be cancelled due to hazardous weather or low enrollment.
