Chapin Community Wreaths Across America Ceremony

On 13 December at 12:00 p.m. Chapin American Legion Post 193 will host a Community wreath-laying ceremony, joining more than 4,900 other locations across the country for National Wreaths Across America Day. This annual event seeks to further the yearlong mission to Remember, Honor, Teach, ensuring that the memory of those who served our country endures. Immediately following the ceremony wreaths will be placed at the Chapin Christian Community Church and Our lady of the Lake Catholic Church cemeteries.
At 1:30 p.m. satellite ceremonies and wreath laying will take place at Chapin Baptist Church, Lake Murray Presbyterian Church, Mount Zion Baptist Church, Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, St. John’s AME, St. Thomas Lutheran Church, Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church, St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church and Macedonia Lutheran Church.
At 2:00 p.m. St. Peter’s Lutheran Church will hold their ceremony and wreath laying.
