Spring Native Plant Sale | Walk-Up Shopping Period

Join us for our annual Spring Native Plant Sale, featuring southeastern native plants from the NCBG nursery, Growing Wild Nursery, Mellow Marsh Farm, and Carolina Habitats.

To help keep the crowds at a safe and comfortable level, preregistration will be required for morning shopping. Then, from 12-2 p.m., anyone can drop in!

* 9 a.m.-12 p.m.: Preregistration required *
The registration link will appear at at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 19 on this page: https://ncbg.unc.edu/event/spring-native-plant-sale/. Mark your calendar so you don't miss it! One registration allows all people in your vehicle access to the plant sale.

* 12-2 p.m.: Open Shopping *
Walk up, no registration necessary!

Payment Methods
Payment this year will be farmers market style: you'll pay for your plants at each vendor, and there will not be a consolidated check-out area. Please be sure to purchase your plants BEFORE walking away from each vendor’s area. All vendors will accept credit cards. Some vendors will accept additional forms of payment – please ask them for clarification BEFORE loading up.

B.Y.O.-Cart
If you’re planning to get more plants than you can easily carry in a tray, you may wish to bring your own cart or wagon. (We have some here, but not enough for everyone.)

Plants
We will not be publishing a plant list in advance for this sale, but between the five vendors there will be a wide variety of southeastern native perennials, grasses, ferns, vines, shrubs, and trees for sale.

Rain or Shine
The sale will be rain or shine: we recommend sunscreen if it’s sunny or a rain jacket if it’s rainy!
