Who's ready for a date? Not with us, no, we're already spoken for. But how about a soft launch date for The Outpost Arcade?? Well, we've kept you waiting long enough, so here it is!
Friday, August 8, 6PM
HOORAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!
But wait, what do we mean by 'soft launch' exactly? Well, this will be the point we're ready to open the doors and let you all come in and start playing our games! However, we'll still be working on odds and ends around the arcade in the coming weeks as we fine tune and decorate. We'll also be running at reduced hours initially, until we can get some help hired to fill some shifts (hiring will begin soon!). Here will be the hours:
Soft launch on Friday, August 8: 6PM to 11PM
Regular hours thereafter as follows...
Monday: Closed
Tuesday - Saturday: 11AM to 10PM
Sunday: 11AM to 6PM
Once we're staffed up, we'll update our hours, expand them, then adjust them over the next few months until we find the sweet spot. And yes, we're planning to have 21+ only hours late on Fridays and Saturdays down the road!
The last thing to know about our 'soft launch' is that we will NOT have our liquor license until likely sometime in September. Until then, we'll only be serving fountain soda drinks, and BYOB is not allowed at entertainment venues like an arcade in AZ. You'll still be able to bring in your own food items, but no alcohol will be served or consumed until that peksy license goes through, zero exceptions.
We're still a tokens/quarters based arcade setup, so bring cash for tokens or a stack of quarters. If you still have some of our tokens from before, they're fair play (but please don't use tokens from other venues)! If you forget your cash, you'll be able to get cash from the bartender and have it added to your tab, so no worries there!
And that's it! We look forward to seeing your bright and smiling faces in here starting August 8 at 6PM! Tournaments and lessons will begin shortly thereafter, so stay tuned for those, and rest assured that we've got a lot of fun ideas cooked up for players of all levels!
It has been a TON of work to get to this point, and we've still got a bunch to go, but it's been soooo worth it, and based on our early feedback, we think you're going to agree with that!
