Saturday Soap-Making Class at The Lavender Farm at Chateau de Vie

Have you ever wondered how we hand-make our amazing bar soaps?

We begin by mixing our base oils and lye, our lavender fragrance oil, and natural colorant. The mixture is blended well, then poured into the bar soap mold. After some careful swirls to create the perfect design, the soap is left to set up and harden. In a few days' time, it's ready for the most satisfying step- soap-cutting!

Everything is included: Instruction Supplies to make One Loaf including Fragrances and Colors* Silicone Soap Mold to keep for future usage (makes 7 bars) The Lavender Farm Apron (exclusive, not for sale) Arrive 10 - 15 minutes before class start time to be let through the front gate. Plan for the class to take about 1 hour. Allow for time after the class to visit The Lavender Farm Roadside Stand as it will be opened at that time exclusively for soap making class participants. Each class will make one type of cold-possessed soap that will be announced at the start of the class: Cold-processed soap is naturally saponified (chemical reaction which occurs between lye, water, and oils) at room temperature and has no added detergents. The lack of heat allows the essential oils and ingredients to remain intact and conserve their natural and inherently positive properties. This traditional method produces gentle and long-lasting bar soap. *Most other classes listed online do not include the fragrances or coloring, most do not include a silicone mold, and none offer The Lavender Farm Apron. The Lavender Farm reserves the right to cancel any class for any reason, and if it needs to happen a full refund will be issued.
