Join us on Saturday, December 6 at Rice’s Crossing Preserve North for a hands-on day of trail building, trash collection, meadow restoration, and cookie exchange!
Together we’ll be working together on these important tasks:
Meadow Restoration:
- Removing Scotch Broom and other pesky invasive species
- Reseeding the meadow after June’s successful prescribed burn
- Trail Building on the Loop Trail:
- Digging and leveling the ground to create a smooth, even trail surface
- Shaping the trail, ensuring proper drainage, and minimizing erosion
Yuba Rim Trail Maintenance: Clearing vegetation and brush from the trail path
Trash Pick-Up
Cookie Exchange: Were looking to make the day a little bit festive, so if you have a favorite holiday cookie you’d like to share, bring a dozen along
Whether you love building new trails, pulling invasive plants by the handful, or learning about the role of fire in healthy ecosystems—there’s meaningful work waiting for you! We’ll provide tools, water, snacks, plus coffee to keep everyone energized throughout the day!
