She also is the author of Writing Without The Muse, a popular book of writing exercises.The most recent of Terence Winch’s ten books of poems are It Is As If Desire (Hanging Loose, 2024) and That Ship Has Sailed (Pitt Poetry Series, 2023). He is also the author of two story collections and a novel, as well as the recipient of an American Book Award, the Columbia Book Award, an NEA poetry fellowship and the Gertrude Stein Award for Innovative Writing. He was guest editor of Best American Poetry 2025. Also a musician and songwriter, Terence Winch co-founded the traditional Irish music group, Celtic Thunder.
