Gurney Elementary Annual Walk to School Day

GURNEY Walk to School Day!

Families who want to participate should plan to arrive at Chagrin Lakes Beach Pavilion on Maple Springs Drive by 8am. Parents and students will depart promptly at 8:10am and will parade together with South Russell police escort to Gurney Elementary.

South Russell police will provide safe crossing at Bell Road.

If driving to the meetup, enter Chagrin Lakes from 306 and
Sheerbrook Dr and park along the east side of Maple Springs. (see photo in comments)

Children must be accompanied by an adult until entering the school building.

PRESCHOOL families may gather at back preschool playground to play together until 9am dropoff - Parents must stay with children at playground and then walk them to normal drop off location.

After drop off, parents are invited to join the Safe Routes Gurney Reps at the Chagrin Lakes Pavilion to talk about other events, safety education, and ideas for infrastructure to improve bike and ped safe transport in South Russell and to Chagrin Schools.
