Explore the Brandywine Battlefield and see the actual places where events of this famous battle took place. There is a lot of folklore out there about this battle, but we have someone who can cut through the myths and deliver to you what really happened that day.
Join us on Saturday, May 17th, 2025, for a driving tour of the Battle of Brandywine with noted author and historian Michael Harris. We will meet at 8:30am at the Brandywine River Museum (1 Mill Rd, Chadds Ford, PA 19317) and consolidate into 8 cars MAXIMUM. We need to limit the number of cars due to the tight confines and limited parking at certain spots. We can fit 4 people per car, so we only have 24 tickets for sale for this event. Please be advised that we need to carpool in order to make this driving tour work so please empty your back seats for carpooling.
In addition, we will be offering you FREE admission to the Christian C Sanderson Museum (1755 Creek Road, Chadds Ford, PA 19317). The Museum is open 12pm to 4pm every weekend from March through November. If you can not make it that day, you can get a coupon for free admission you can use anytime in 2025 as long as the museum is open.
The driving tour will start at 9am and will end approximately at 1pm. After the tour we will be at the Sanderson Museum, but you can grab something to eat first or head on home. Just a reminder that the Museum closes at 4pm. You will be provided information on each stop we will be visiting along with a phone number to call if you take a wrong turn. Bottled water will also be provided.
We will have books, tee shirts, and hats available for purchase before and after the tour. The Paoli Battlefield Preservation Fund will be assisting in the tour.
