About our group: The NOISY VOICES is a community choir group that has been running in Cessnock for 10+ years. We welcome singers of all ages and abilities and you are welcome to attend as a regular or as a casual.
We sing in a group so there is no pressure, no solos or singling anyone out -so you get to dive straight into the magical feeling of your voice blending into a group sound. Beginners and experienced singers are warmly welcome.
We sing music that is easy to learn, has a certain feel good element that makes it positive, upbeat and fun to sing. We are not religious and celebrate diversity and community and friendship - we love to make people feel welcome!and.. we love cake at tea break!
When:
Wednesdays 6:30pm - 8:00pm during school term
Where:
Qirkz in the Hunter, 141 Cessnock Road Abermain (come in the side door on Alfred st) (see google map)
Who: Everyone is welcome! beginners, regular and past singers, friends and family and visitors and curious people who want to come and see what it's like!
Children are welcome if supervised by an adult and able to participate in the choir activity, the space is not suitable for toddlers or running around.
The Noisy Voices is directed by Emmie from Wild Learning, a life long singer with a passion for natural voice choir singing, community music making and the power of song to improve wellbeing.
How much does it cost:
Participation is by donation: there is a yellow tin at the door that you can drop $ into when you arrive (the suggestion is $5 per family)Please note: enrol once online and then you are welcome to just turn up each week and sign the attendance book at the door
