Glove up, dig in and keep Singleton growing this National Tree Day! 🌳🧤
Head along to Col Fisher Park on Sunday 27 July and join the free community planting day fun for National Tree Day!
📍 Over 350 native trees, shrubs and grasses will be planted in the Hunterview park from 10am-1pm.
The new location for National Tree Day planting will boost a long-term project by Singleton Council, Singleton Shire Landcare Network and Local Land Services to enhance the space for the community’s enjoyment and protect its important population of River Red Gums.
🙌 By joining us this National Tree Day, you’ll be part of this exciting initiative to revitalise this beautiful park.
Singleton Lions Club will provide a free sausage sizzle and event participants will receive a free plant to take home 🌲
There will also be stacks of free activities for the kids on offer.
What you need to know:
👉 Volunteers must register upon arrival
👉 The entire community is welcome to get involved in Singleton’s National Tree Day event however children under 18 years old must be registered by a parent/guardian and supervised at all times
👉 All participants should wear sun and winter safe clothing, sturdy shoes and a water bottle to stay hydrated
👉 Planting resources will be available. However, participants are encouraged to bring along their own gloves
