Glove up, dig in and keep Singleton growing this National Tree Day! ๐ณ๐งค
Head along to Col Fisher Park on Sunday 27 July and join the free community planting day fun for National Tree Day!
๐ Over 350 native trees, shrubs and grasses will be planted in the Hunterview park from 10am-1pm.
The new location for National Tree Day planting will boost a long-term project by Singleton Council, Singleton Shire Landcare Network and Local Land Services to enhance the space for the communityโs enjoyment and protect its important population of River Red Gums.
๐ By joining us this National Tree Day, youโll be part of this exciting initiative to revitalise this beautiful park.
Singleton Lions Club will provide a free sausage sizzle and event participants will receive a free plant to take home ๐ฒ
There will also be stacks of free activities for the kids on offer.
What you need to know:
๐ Volunteers must register upon arrival
๐ The entire community is welcome to get involved in Singletonโs National Tree Day event however children under 18 years old must be registered by a parent/guardian and supervised at all times
๐ All participants should wear sun and winter safe clothing, sturdy shoes and a water bottle to stay hydrated
๐ Planting resources will be available. However, participants are encouraged to bring along their own gloves
