Hunter Valley Heroes is designed to showcase the regional grapes that thrive here in Pokolbin, the classics of Semillon, Chardonnay and Shiraz, alongside emerging varieties like Fiano and Gewurztraminer.
Enjoy a guided tasting by our Cellar Door team at Saddler’s Creek Wines in Pokolbin, where you’ll taste six wines matched with six degustation-style pairings served tapas-style. It’s a relaxed, immersive way to taste, compare and discover what changes when wine meets food, how a wine can feel brighter, softer or more expressive when paired with the right bite.
What to expect
Settle in, sip and snack your way through six pairings over 90 minutes. The experience is guided but unpretentious, with time to ask questions and linger over your favourites. The seasonal Autumn menu is designed to elevate each wine’s natural character, moving from fresh, aromatic whites through to structured reds, while celebrating the signature flavours of the Hunter Valley.
