Come and learn the latest, best practice methods for W**d control and removal with Paul Melehan, Upper Hunter Local Landcare Coordinator.
We'll provide the tools and demonstrations, then you'll have the chance to put your new skills into practice.
The FREE workshop will focus on weeds of riparian areas which can be extra challenging to manage. Also learn some key W**d hygiene techniques to minimise weeds getting to and spreading across your site. Brush up on some W**d ID and your knowledge of the priority weeds for the Hunter region during the day.
Please wear the following PPE: long-sleeved shirt, long pants, sunhat, sunscreen, gloves (optional, we have some you can borrow), eye protection (if you have it), boots/enclosed shoes suitable for uneven ground. Please bring a camping chair if you have one.
Please arrive by 8.45am for a 9am start. The event runs until 3pm.
Lunch and morning tea are provided. Please supply any special dietary needs in the booking form.
The location is Col Fisher Park, Singleton. The location meet point will be confirmed by email to participants prior to the day. Please be advised the nearest toilets would be at Allan Bull Reserve for Col Fisher Park.
Please register by 4pm, Friday 11 July for catering purposes.
