About the event

Lessons of the Holocaust with Brad Wilkening
Please join the Central City Public Library in welcoming Mr. Brad Wilkening as he presents “Lessons of the Holocaust” at the Falcon Civic Center on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM.

“The less we study history from the past, the more likely we’re not going to learn the lessons that we should. And I think that’s a problem we have right now,” Wilkening said in a recent interview on KCRG.

A retired social studies teacher from Ankeny, Iowa, Wilkening is committed to helping people learn through his program, "Lessons of the Holocaust."

The program includes a history of the Holocaust, a number of survival stories, a short video uniting a survivor with the person who rescued them, and ways we can become upstanders in today’s world.
