Albany Cycle Club invites you to come and ride the beautiful secluded GRAVEL roads between Redmond and Mount Barker on Saturday 9 August at 8am.
We take in 40km of smooth gravel and verdant countryside north of Redmond en route to a yummy bakery stop in Mount Barker.
After treats, we return southward to Redmond on an entirely different but equally beautiful 36km route.
Total distance: 76 km
The route will include a couple of very surreptitious short cuts you won’t find on Google Maps.

We are expected to arrive back in Redmond by about 12.30pm
Alternatively, if you have a support vehicle arranged you could be picked up at Mt Barker (we arrive 10am ish).
If needed we’ll aim to create groups to accommodate different paced riders. And we may send the fast group via the Mt Barker lookout so they don’t beat the rest of us to the bakery.
Start: Redmond Hall, Redmond-Hay River Road.
Parking: At Redmond Hall.
Schedule: 8am departure.
10am arrive Mt Barker
10.30/10.45 depart Mt Barker
12.30/12.45 arrive Redmond

However, as this a sanctioned AusCycling event, for insurance purposes all riders should have at least an AusCycling Lifestyle Basic license. Temporary monthly licenses available from $11 here:

From King River Tavern it's 22km
From Taxi Stand it's 29km
From Denmark it's 40km
Participants should be self-supporting so bring all own food & drink, spares, tools, clothing.
In case of inclement weather, the ride will go ahead, so bring your rain jacket, snorkel, etc.
