About the Artist: Jillian Moore is a full-time artist, writer and workshop instructor based in rural Cedar County, Iowa. Moore was also co-founder and Director of the CRANDIC-based intersectional feminist art collective known as Bluestockings for 8 years.
Moore works primarily in the field of contemporary jewelry and small sculpture and is most notable for her use of resins to build lush, colorful surfaces. Her work has been exhibited during Munich Jewellery Week, New York Jewelry Week, JOYA Barcelona, and SIERAAD Art Fair in Amsterdam.
Her work is currently on view at PrunkWerk Galerie in Hamburg (Germany); Friends of Carlotta in Zurich (Switzerland); Ombré Gallery in Cincinnati, OH; Kendall Reiss Gallery in Bristol, RI; J is for Jewellery in Hasselt, Belgium; and Gilded Pear Gallery in Cedar Rapids, IA. She has pieces in the permanent collection of both the Racine Art Museum of Racine, WI and the Mint Museum of Charlotte, NC.
Moore is one of five Iowa Artist Fellows for 2024-25. Support is provided by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Iowa Arts Council, which exists within the Iowa Economic Development Authority.
