"1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture" Film Screening

In honor of National Coming Out Day (October 11), St. Paul’s United Methodist Church will host a free community screening of 1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture on Sunday, October 12, at 4:30 p.m. (doors open at 4:00 p.m.). This powerful documentary chronicles the discovery of never-before-seen Yale archives that reveal how a mistranslation of the Bible in 1946 still contributes to anti-LGBTQ+ prejudice within Christian communities today. We invite you to join us as we continue creating safe and affirming spaces for all to “come out” and live authentically in God’s love.
