The Wild Anacostias has provided the finest in Louisiana-style dance music, from the bayous of Cajun country to the streets of the French Quarter, since 2012. The band has performed many times at Honfest and at Night of 100 Elvises in Baltimore and at venues like the Hamilton, Hank Dietles' and the New Deal Cafe in the D.C. area. The band is led by Joe Atkins (who also plays with Tex Rubinowitz) on guitar and sax and features WAMMIE Award-winner Marianna Previti on lead vocals and trumpet and includes several residents of Catonsville as well. The repertoire is a tasty mixture of numbers penned by several members of the band and expertly chosen zydeco, Cajun, and R&B classics dished out by eight horns, two accordions, and a diamond-hard rhythm section.
Event Highlights:
Dress Code: Charleston/Gatsby theme, but it’s not required; you can still come as you are.
Dance Space: Plenty of room to dance the night away.
Bar Service: A full bar will be available to keep you refreshed throughout the evening.
