Clay Hand-Building Workshop: from raw clay to finished ceramic
Join us for a foundational experience in hand-building with clay. We will cover the essential techniques using "clay glue" (scoring, slipping, and securing clay) to create pinch-pot style bowls and slab projects, such as ornaments, small trays, and mugs. Beginners will receive guidance throughout their projects, with additional assistance available as needed.

What We Provide:
3 pounds of clay per participant, along with basic tools, texture mats, and more
Slabs for hand-building, and/or
Clay blocks for molding pinch pots
Firing of greenware to bisque

All necessary underglazes and glaze for the second firing, plus clear glaze (unless you prefer not to use it)
Support for beginners on projects, with reasonable assistance available

Items will be ready for glazing approximately two weeks after the class, depending on size. We are not responsible for items left unclaimed after 90 days. All materials are included in the workshop fee.
