This week we will return to the Indigenous Food and Fibre (IFF) site to prepare for a large-ish late winter planting on 27 July. We will focus this working bee on the areas we have been able to add to our original IFF area, thanks to the URCP grant. We will dig some holes and W**d around those holes to beat back the competition to the plants, set up our watering arrangements for the planting, and hope that the forecast rain does not think it is part of our watering arrangements.
There are 2 entrances to the site, as follows.
If the creek starts flowing (we can hope!), the non-gumboot route is entrance E10 - cross Forest Creek just near the old Best Motors, then take the first left on the un-named road (almost opposite McGrath St), follow that around to the right and up the hill, park on the grass there, and walk down the hill.
Otherwise, come via entrance E4 on our website

Park on Happy Valley Rd near the intersection with Verlin St, and walk 100m along the walking track to the first flat area as a meeting point. Cross the creek and keep walking into the IFF site. We will work downstream from there.
Phone Christine on 0418 325 350 if lost.
Bring a digging tool (or use one of ours), wear gloves and stout footwear.
We plan a yummy morning tea as well.
