When it comes to literacy vowels are some of our most important and most confusing letter sounds.
They are short they are long they can come in teams and sometimes they make no sound at all.
In this one-hour workshop the Om Work Guru will share Orton-Gillingham based tips and tricks to help you take the confusion out of teaching vowel sounds. Make literacy learning fun and effective with these tips about tackling vowel sounds!
This workshop is being presented by the Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy and the Om Work Guru.
The Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy (CBAL) is the Basin and Boundary's only not-for-profit literacy organization working in 77 communities across south-eastern British Columbia
Erin J. Bauman the Om Work Guru has worked as an education assistant and tutor for over ten years. She has certification for Orton-Gillingham Children's Yoga Instruction and she has a BA majoring in English. Her combined skills and experience make her an English language expert.
