CASTLE HILL ZIP-LINE (SATURDAY 13 DECEMBER 2025)
****(SESSION 9: 4PM – 5PM)****
In conjunction with PACI, Townsville Hike and Explore is offering 300 adventurers the rare opportunity to zip-line Castle Hill! The zip-line will be a massive 130 metres from the launch point at the upper lookout on Castle Hill, down to the WW2 Bunker, taking in breathtaking views of Townsville City, Magnetic Island, and surrounds.
Please read the following event information THOROUGHLY prior to your RSVP for all information.

****RSVP / ATTENDANCE INFORMATION****
To register your attendance to SESSION 9:
1. Mark yourself as “GOING” to this session (maximum of 30 attendees) **You must read the PACI Booking Conditions in the COMMENTS of the event prior to RSVP**
2. USE THE PAYMENT LINK IN THE COMMENTS SECTION OF THIS EVENT TO PAY FOR YOUR BOOKING(S) AND LOCK IN YOUR SPOT(S)
3. You must RSVP to this session using this Facebook event – If you do not have a Facebook account, create one. If you absolutely can’t create one, you will come along as an ‘EXTRA’.
4. You will have an ALLOCATED TIME SLOT on the day, so YOU MUST RSVP to this session using this event, this is non-negotiable. **If you are bringing children or extras, leave a comment on the event with how many extras you are bringing. **
5. IF YOU RSVP TO MULTIPLE SESSIONS, you will be removed from all sessions.
6. When this session reaches the Max number, we will mark the session as ‘CLOSED”, screenshot the first 30 attendees and post the pictures of the final attendees in the COMMENTS section on each session. This is your CONFIRMATION THAT YOU ARE ATTENDING.
7. GIVEN THE EVENTS ARE STILL ~4 WEEKS AWAY, 1 WEEK PRIOR WE WILL PUT A POST UP ON EACH SESSION ASKING ATTENDEES TO CONFIRM THEY ARE STILL ATTENDING.
8. If you CANNOT MAKE IT ON THE DAY, please be courteous and let us know ASAP by REMOVING YOURSELF from the event and allowing others to RSVP.

****PARKING INFORMATION****
1. Please Park in designated areas on Castle Hill. (Lower carpark preferred)

****COST****
1. COST is $30/per person/per zip.
($20 to PACI & a $10 Donation to the Group)
2. There is a PAYMENT LINK in the COMMENTS on each event.
3. PRE PAID BOOKINGS TAKE PRIORITY, howwever we WILL accept cash bookings/walk ins on the day.

****SAFETY INFORMATION****
1. PACI staff are responsible for the zip-line and all relevant safety equipment. You must follow their direction, as required, with no exceptions.
2. People with weak knees/ankles should not ride the zip
3. If people have a history of knee surgery, and/or ongoing injuries to their knees, they should not ride the zip.
4. Maximum body weight is 110kg
5. Official minimum age is 7
6. No thongs or high heel shoes
7. No dresses or mini skirts
8. Long hair must be tied back.

****ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS****
1. Please arrive 15 MINUTES PRIOR to your session.
2. If you are not on time, others may take your place without notice.
3. Walk to the launch point at the upper lookout, where you will see a Townsville Hike and Explore Marquee and our volunteer event staff.
4. Provide Details for Pre Paid Bookings OR Pay your $30 CASH
5. There will be a run sheet for each session which you must be marked off on
6. You will be required to provide your mobile number for COVID tracing purposes.

****FINISH INSTRUCTIONS****
1. When you have finished your zip, you will bring your harness and helmet back to the start point and give it to one of the Townsville Hike and Explore Volunteers.
2. Please share any social media (images/videos) taken during the day across our channels. We will be offering a PRIZE for our favourite pic of the day!
3. Bookings to the public will open on 13 December, so get in early and register your attendance asap.
