By night, we’ll explore Threave House — a magnificent 19th-century mansion at the heart of the Threave Estate. Built in 1872 for Liverpool merchant William Gordon, this striking example of Scottish Baronial architecture boasts a history rich in curious tales.
Over the years, accounts have included objects falling from tables, footsteps on an empty staircase, shadowy outlines glimpsed after dark, and the inimitable sense of being watched...
Guests will take part in small-group sessions using traditional ghost-hunting techniques — including dowsing rods, mirror scrying, pendulums, trigger objects, and basic audio recording — all supported by local history and legend.
Wander evocative interior spaces such as turret rooms and the Billiard Room, and venture into the gardens after dark to observe the subtle shifts that come with nightfall.
