Verse-Chorus: A Songwriting Workshop

Ever wondered what goes into a song and how to get one started? Are you currently working on your songwriting but feeling stuck or need some creative tools to keep you going? This exciting two-day workshop on May 17-18 is for you!

Kamara Thomas is a songwriter with over 20 years of experience creating songs and working in a variety of settings, from bands to solo singer-songwriter to musical theater. She has been a teaching artist leading songwriting workshops for many years. Over the course of this two-day workshop, participants will learn new tools and practices for:
--sparking creativity
--finding your specific viewpoint
--translating ideas, thoughts & feelings into compelling songwork
--finding your song’s structure
--building interesting melodies
--training your ear to listen for the “ideas” within songs for inspiration

All experience levels are welcome. No instrument necessary but bring one if you like! Instructors include Kamara Thomas and a guest artist.
