August is here, so Cary’s annual Lazy Daze
Festival is quickly approaching, and our Cary
CERT will be there! Cary CERT continues to be welcomed as a part of the Our Town section of Lazy
Daze which means that we will be set up inside the delightfully air-conditioned Town Hall!
This is our largest attended event of the year and one where we reach the most people talking about emergency
preparedness and CERT; plus, it is a great way to get to know each other!
Many Cary CERT volunteers, both experienced and newer members, are needed to join us at our Cary CERT
table so that we are well staffed and so our voices will hold out throughout the weekend. For members who
have worked community events with us, please consider signing up for one of our remaining 4 experienced
"Shift Leads" positions. We need 3-4 volunteers at a time, all day, both days! We need YOU! Volunteering
for multiple shifts is appreciated, just don’t sign up for 2 at the same time!
