Unicorn carrot anyone?🥕 The Make, Bake & Grow Kids’ contest is *this* Friday! Drop off time is Friday August 15th 8-11am at the Carstairs Curling Rink & viewing is this Saturday 12-4pm.
This volunteer-run event celebrates the creativity and growth of all Mountain View area youth, ages 17 and under. For those who have participated in the past, it is the junior section of the Horticultural & Craft Show.
This carrot is an example of a novelty vegetable grown in Carstairs years ago - I wonder what novelty vegetables there will be there this year???
Feel free to encourage your children to enter something growing in the garden, something they have made already, or to create something special. There are also categories for items which do not fit into the smaller categories.
If you don’t have time to print out the form and tags, there will be paper copies available during drop off this Friday.
Team/group entries are a new option this year. Categories for ages 5 & under, 6-10 and 11-17. Cash prizes available. Details in website or rulebook:
