Scorpion Excursion

Grab your friends and family and join the Carson City Park Rangers for the fifth annual scorpion searching event! You will be given a black light to help in the search. Scorpions glow under the black light which makes this activity unlike anything you've done before! We will be adventuring up the Wild Horse Trail located at the North end of Centennial Park.

This activity is considered "More Difficult" under the IMBA Trail Rating System. Expect uneven terrain, rocks, and sandy sections under the night sky. Backlights will be provided, so all you need to bring is water, closed- toed shoes, long pants, and you best black light attire!

- Minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
- Dogs are not allowed on this adventure as we don't want them disturbing the scorpions.
