SURF’S UP

A behind-the-scenes look at the annual Penguin World Surfing Championship, and its newest participant, up-and-comer Cody Maverick.

This is an Oscar-nominated animated mockumentary from Sony Pictures Animation follows Cody Maverick (voiced by Shia LaBeouf), a plucky teenage Rockhopper penguin with big dreams. Eager to carve waves like his idol, the legendary Big Z (voiced by Jeff Bridges), Cody heads to Pen Gu Island, chasing glory in a major surfing competition. Along the way, he befriends lifeguard Lani Aliikai (voiced by Zooey Deschanel), who helps him discover what truly matters in surfing and life.
