Peace Pole Rededication Ceremony

The Carnegie-Collier Rotary Club will have a rededication of the Peace Pole that was planted in front of the Carnegie Coffee Company this past May. This will be the first of what will become an annual rededication and it just so happens that this year's rededication will fall on World Peace Day!

"MAY PEACE PREVAIL ON EARTH"
Masahisa Goi (1916-1980), deeply moved by the devastation of World War II and the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, introduced the message "May Peace Prevail on Earth" in 1955. This simple yet powerful phrase became a global symbol of hope and unity.
