Did you know, every tree has a story to tell? Can you identify the different species of trees and do you know their name? Do you know an Oak from an Ash, and why are they SO important?
Come on a journey through the seasons as we explore how the trees change and what identifying features they have.
You will receive a journal to use throughout the sessions, building up a fantastic identification resource as well as a treasured expression of your creativity.
The journaling sessions will include:
•How to identify the tree/plant
•Folklore or traditional craft
•Creative journaling with craft materials and art supplies
All resources will be provided.
On the final session of each seasonal block, we will go on a nature trail together to find the trees we have identified that season and to practice our identification skills.
Each season can be booked separately or you can receive a 10% discount for booking all four blocks. There are 4 sessions in each seasonal block, each on a Saturday 10.30am-11.30am. Unfortunately one off sessions cannot be booked for the purpose of building the journal.
These sessions are aimed at children from approximately age 7+ but I trust you know whether your child would enjoy or engage with the activities. Cost is per child but parents/carers are welcome to join in with the sessions and additional journals can be purchased for £5 should you wish.
