Sniffer Dog Birthday Trials – Levels 1 & 2

We’re celebrating seven years of scent detection with ClickStart, and we’d love you and your dog to be part of it.
These birthday trials are designed to be fun, welcoming and confidence-boosting, perfect for dogs who love to search and handlers who want a relaxed but meaningful trial experience.
Whether you're stepping into trials for the first time or ready for a new challenge, you’ll work your dog through three searches with clear scoring and supportive feedback.
LEVEL 1 – Ideal for Beginners
10.30am - Perfect for dogs who are still building their skills or new to trial environments.

1 Indoor Search
1 Outdoor Search
Line-Up Search
Hides placed at a sensible, easy-access height 3–5 minute time limit
Helpful feedback from your judge
LEVEL 2 – Ready for the Next Step
1.30pm - For dogs who have completed Level 1.
Includes:
1 Indoor Search
1 Outdoor Search
1 Vehicle Search
Two hides in indoor and outdoor areas
All hides within one metre of the ground
5 minutes per area (3–5 minutes for the vehicle search)
Scoring:
Handlers and dogs are assessed on:
Indication – recognising and communicating the target odour
Area Coverage – searching thoroughly and systematically
Teamwork – supportive handling without over-directing
What to Expect on the Day:
A friendly atmosphere Clear instructions and time to prepare
A calm waiting area Short briefing before each search
Scores and feedback at the end
Rosettes and certificates for all qualifying competitors
A lovely opportunity to celebrate progress, build confidence and enjoy a great day out with your dog.
