The development weekend is all about building your skills as a team under the guidance of our expert coaches. Over the weekend, each coach will work with 2-3 rafts tailoring each session to the raft.
Development Weekends are open to all teams/paddlers, whether they are just starting out or have been racing internationally for years. Our coaches will tailor the weekend towards the teams that are booked on, to enable all teams to get the most out of the weekends.
This isn't an introduction weekend, so we do expect all paddlers to have some experience of raft racing.
Bookings will not be opened to individuals, however a team booking doesn't need to be a racing team as we know there are numerous clubs that have started giving paddlers opportunities to try raft racing and who may not yet be part of a team of 4. Therefore, a team could enter as a group of 4 wanting to gain experience.
Though each paddler should provide their own personal paddling kit we will be providing rafts to all teams and paddles to those that require.
