Originally from Stockholm Sweden, Klas Åhman first moved to New Mexico in 2005 and has since then continuously toured Europe and USA solo, and with his twin brother Joel Åhman as Secret Circus. Klas is often spotted often wearing his grandpas’ old sailor cap, so his friends, the artists and bands he’s toured and produced audio and video with, started introducing Klas by the nickname “Captain”. Coincidentally that’s the family nickname for Klas’ old grandpa, and main role model ‘Gerhard Dykhoff’. So the title of “Captain” was proudly added to his official stage name. Captain Klas is becoming widely known for his thought-provoking lyrical content, unique finger-picking style, Rockstar looks, and ambiguous humor.
