Ramblers Walk Leader training for Wellbeing Walks - Carlisle

This optional module in-person training will provide you with the skills and knowledge leaded to lead Wellbeing Walks in your local area. It is an optional step in the training process for new Ramblers Wellbeing Walks Walk Leaders. The session will build on your previous e-learning by explaining more about Ramblers Wellbeing Walks and walkers, the practicalities of leading a walk and what support and resources are available. You will also gain practical experience of leading a walk during this training and Shadowing a trained Walk Leader.

Ideally the mandatory e-learning modules and induction and handbook should be read and completed prior to attending this session.

Aims of session

For participants to:

•Understand more about the role of walk leader for the Wellbeing Walks Programme

•Know more about who comes to the walks and how to help them get the most from the walks

•Practice leading a walk and feel more confident about being a walk leader

Additional Information:

• Please bring weather-appropriate clothing and footwear – we will be going on a short walk.

• Please let us know in advance if you have particular learning or access needs.

There will be refreshments (tea, coffee and water) provided.
