Tuesdays, August 19 & 26, 6:30-7:30pm at Carlisle UMC (333 S Spring Garden St, Carlisle)

John Wesley was the original Methodist advocate for racial justice. In this class we will talk about John Elford's book, "Our Hearts Were Strangely Lukewarm," which provides a portrayal of the Methodist church's complicated historical relationship with racism. We will discuss why it is important to understand where we've been in order to move toward a more racially just future. Led by Chris Benson.
